Hi I'm Jen Burns I'm the principal of Century Park Learning Center At Century Park we have about 575 students in grades kindergarten through sixth grade we also hold the Grandville Schools program for students with cognitive impairments and we strive to provide an inclusive educational experience for each and every one of our littlest Bulldogs; at Century Park our students B.A.R.K. We have positive behavior supports in place to help students with the behaviors we would like to see and hear. They are behaviors that will make them very successful as they leave Century Park and go on to the intermediate building. B.A.R.K. behavior consists of Being dependable, Accepting of others, Respectful, and Keeping engaged in your school work we have events throughout the year to celebrate students with these B.A.R.K. behaviors and we even had an ice cream truck at the end of the school year. We have a strong parent group who works hard to set up evening activities such as a family gala that was held where families can come and dance and see each other and meet up and learn about each other we also have Art Walk in the fall, where students can show their family their artwork displayed in the classroom teachers' window; we love seeing families in Century Park One thing that makes Century Park different than other elementaries is that we have four sections of multi-age classrooms for first and second grade students replaced with a team of teachers for 2 years as they develop their foundational skills in reading and mathematics as well as science and social studies It also provides a way for families to build relationships with teachers that goes multiple years I hope that we get to meet you at Century Park and hope you choose our school
